Who we are

 

Delaware River Pedal & Paddle aims to provide a guided experience that combines the action of outdoor recreation and the informative lessons of local history. We are founded on the core principles of Safety, Fun, and Learning.

 

What we offer

  • Guided tours along the Delaware Canal and Delaware River.

  • Learn a little bit of everything from local history, ecology, geology, bicycle skills, kayaking skills, and paddle boarding skills with a little bit of humor mixed in.

  • Bicycles, Helmets, Kayaks, Paddles, PFDs all included

  • From start to finish, renting a bike through Delaware River Pedal & Paddle was a pleasant experience. The cost to rent a bike for a day was competitive compared to other businesses in the area. You can literally reserve, choose a trail, and complete the waiver all online. So easy and convenient. The team was efficient sending informative emails prior to arriving. Upon arriving to Tinicum Park, the team communicated exactly where the bikes would be and how to release the lock. A helmet and map were included. Then, we were off on an absolutely beautiful trail and had the perfect day. I would highly recommend them and will be returning again in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

  • We rented bicycles for the day to ride up and down the Delaware Canal Trail. Brian delivered the bikes to the trail head along with helmets and emailed us a map of the best routes. All the equipment was in great shape and all went smoothly. We are a big rails to trails fans and DRP&P is one of the best outfitters we have dealt with. We will definitely be back.

  • My YA son and I signed up for the bridges tour. We rode bikes along the Delaware Canal - very lovely!! We then paddled for an hour. Brian was safety-oriented and a very thoughtful person! He shared fun and interesting history of canals, locks, bridges, and towns but also pointed out eagle and osprey nests, snapping turtles and other local wildlife. Delightful morning. Highly recommend.

  • Our bridges tour was wonderful! It began with a peaceful Sunday morning kayak on the Delaware. Brian was super helpful guiding us about safety and telling us of the history of the area and of its wildlife. We paddled down river and saw two eagles fly above us. Then we got on bikes and traveled the nice flat towpath through Tinicum park. We learned lots of interesting facts about the canal and its working parts, spied two heron and helped a little turtle. Thanks, Brian, for a terrific tour. We'll be sure to spread the word..

  • My wife and I spent a wonderful Sunday morning with the team at the Delaware River Pedal & Paddle company. We learned so much about the history of the Delaware Canal system, saw lots of wildlife, and enjoyed the best of what Bucks County, PA, USA has to offer... a great day outdoors. We took their Bridges tour, which involved a cycle component along a quaint and historic portion of the towpath for the Delaware Canal, and a kayaking component along the Delaware River. They supplied everything, as well as a great deal of information and historical background of what we were looking at, along the way. A very professionally run operation... where safety comes first at every point along the tour! I highly recommend this activity for people of all ages who enjoy the outdoors..
